Starbucks has launched a new café in central Tokyo, built for people who want to focus or collaborate. The store opened on July 30 and was developed in partnership with Think Lab, experts in productivity-focused workspace design.
This new location blends the cozy feel of a café with the function of a modern workspace. It caters to both solo professionals and small teams looking for a flexible environment.
Solo and Team Zones
The second floor features two distinct areas:
Solo Work Pods: These are enclosed booths that reduce noise and distractions. They’re ideal for focused tasks or virtual meetings.
Smart Lounge™: This space supports teamwork. It includes projectors and tables made for video calls or casual discussions.
Easy Reservation and Mobile Orders
You can reserve your seat using the Think Lab app. Choose a solo booth or a group table before arriving. Then, place your Starbucks order using the Mobile Order & Pay feature. Your drink will be ready at the contactless counter on the first floor.
The process is smooth, safe, and convenient—perfect for busy professionals.
More Than Just Coffee
This café reflects a big shift in how we work. More people are freelancing, working remotely, or joining hybrid teams. Starbucks Tokyo shows how a coffee shop can support those new habits.
It’s not just about coffee anymore. It’s about giving people the right space to think, create, and connect.
